So, this last weekend was one of the best (for me, at least!) in a while! My boys really went out of their way to make sure I had the best Mother's Day yet (kinda ironic)! It was really a whole Mother's Day Weekend, it turns out.
On Friday night, Hubby and I got to use the company Padre's tickets to enjoy a free game and got Mom and Stepdad to babysit LO. Fun, as always, despite the losing streak the Pad's are on! Then on Saturday morning, I was having a lazy morning of feeding and playing with the boy and then put him down for a nap. I got into the shower only a half an hour before we were supposed to get to swimming lessons. Lazy, I was. My wonderful husband asked if I wanted he and LO to go to swimming without me. I was thankful...I could continue to be lazy! :) I treated myself to a lunch at Panera and was planning a possible pedicure when I ran into one of my Mommy friend's, Jen who was also treating herself to lunch, sans sons and Hubby. It was perfect timing! We enjoyed a nice afternoon hanging out chatting, eating and then a little shopping.
So, for the real Mother's day I woke up to feed the LO and was going to get up to play with him, when Hubby told me to get back to bed because I was throwing a wrench in his plans......twist my arm, why don'tcha? So I headed back to be for another fabulous hour! I woke up to find my boys getting dressed and this is what my LO was wearing:

Note, the bouquet of roses in the background?? LO had gotten me 18 roses for every month I had taken care of him....that would be 9 mos. in the womb and 9 mos. post natal. Hehe...how sweet is my husband?? Hubby also got me a bouquet from him with purple tulips and stargazers. I didn't happen to take a special picture of them when they were fresh, but here they are 4 days later...still not too bad.

LO also got me a soccer ball. Apparently, so I could teach him how to play! Currently, he is mostly interested in eating the soccer ball...but maybe someday he will kick some grass...just like his Mama used to before her career ending injury! ;-)

We are even teaching him the sign language for ball! He is such a good student and always pays close attention when we sign to him :)

Thanks so much to my "boys" for the best Mother's Day yet....a precedence has been set for following Mother's days to be even better!! Hehe...no pressure ;-)
